New Hires will have 60 days to acquire the required CPR certification.
SUMMARY OF
Responsibilities:
The Lead Technologist will provide the staffing of high-quality radiologic services to all patients of all ages, while following radiation safety and protection protocols.
Coordinate employee scheduling for Argyle ED/UC and any future radiology departments.
Maintain consistent and reasonable protocols in conjunction with Texas Radiology Associates.
Assists in maintaining equipment and contacting service when needed.
Responsible for keeping the department fully staffed and will fill in as needed.
Performs laboratory care for patients of all age groups through the use of laboratory processes; maintains positive working relationships with staff and other departments to provide optimal quality outcomes within the framework of professional laboratory practice.
Assists Manager with accomplishing radiology human resource objectives by orienting, training, assigning and scheduling employees.
Monitor appropriate inventory of supplies.
Adheres to all hospital and departmental safety and compliance regulations, guidelines, procedures and accreditations.
Coordinates all students scheduling and maintains student clinical requirements.
Able to concentrate on task at hand, consistently follow procedures, demonstrate adaptability, flexibility, cooperation and maintain an atmosphere of professionalism.
Collaborates with interdisciplinary team for efficient and safe patient care.
Assumes other duties as assigned.
REPORT RELATIONSHIP:
Technologist reports directly to Radiology Manager with oversite by the Director of Radiology at Argyle OSHA TASK CATEGORY TWO:
There is an occasional risk of exposure to mucous membranes or skin contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues, or a potential for spills or splashed during the performance of the job.
Universal precautions must be observed, and protective devices worn by the employee when performing a task that is likely to cause exposure.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Able to lift 30
pounds on a regular basis to 42, able to transfer/transport and help lift patients onto/off stretcher or exam table on a daily basis.
