Director of Finance-Physician Compensation

SUMMARYReporting to the Market CFO, the Director of Physician Compensation will provide direction and oversight of the financial management operations of the Texas Market Practice(s).
This role plays a vital part in the company's financial management and is responsible for ensuring that accounts and financial records meet established standards and criteria.
The Director will have both an immediate and lasting impact on all company operations, helping to strategize savings, onboarding new acquisitions, perform impactful audits, and empower leadership's decision-making processes.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of healthcare and working with physicians in private practice or a hospital-employed setting.
In addition to the preparation of monthly financial reports for month end close, this position will work closely with the Market CFO on onboarding and integrating new acquisitions into NetSuite and the UMP normal reporting cycle.
This position will be a high-profile position interacting with all levels of management in the organization and will provide leadership to direct reports supporting the Finance function.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned) Oversee timely completion of the monthly close process, internal and external reporting, and the accurate calculation physician compensation in accordance with the Plan Regarding Compensation for Services (PRCS).
Monitor the performance of investments including creating reports using business software Analyze trends to reduce financial risks associated with making investment or spending decisions.
Counsel management team on ways to maximize profits and cash flow; analyzes actual practices, data and suggests alternative strategies for managing their clinics.
Provide accounting and financial related assistance to the Market and other departments, including participation in training staff on accounting procedures and budget management as needed.
Provide leadership and supervision to direct reports.
Ensure proper analytical review of the balance sheet and income statement and ensure reconciliations are completed in a timely manner to support balances.
Develop and monitor operating, capital, labor, and productivity budgets.
Analyze monthly, quarterly, annual, and multi-year financial statements to identify budget variances and trends, and work with Practice leadership to understand and develop gap-closure plans.
Oversee assigned accounting and financial reporting functions, including the accumulation and analysis of financial and statistical data in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or comparable experience Graduate degree in Business, Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred Plan Regarding Compensation for Services (PRCS) Required 5
years of progressively responsible experience in the financial management of a complex physician group compensation plan 2

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
